I recieved my I 797 in the mail 3 weeks ago but they made a mistake with my country of birth (listed it as my country of citizenship, however the two are different). I reported the mistake to USCIS customer support. I recieved an email alert from USCIS a few days ago saying this:
Receipt Number: EAC*******944
Application Type: I129, PETITION FOR A NONIMMIGRANT WORKER
Current Status: We mailed you an amended notice.
On June 13, 2007, an amended notice on this case was mailed describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before receiving our notice, call customer service.
What exactly does this mean? Does it mean that they have mailed an ammended I 797 or does it mean that they're sent out a letter informing me that they will process my case?
Thank you!
