Misspelt Name on Birth Certificate question.....

Hi All
I think this question has been posted before....
Please respond if you are in similar situation or have any information.

My first name is misspelt on my birth certificate.
In case of rfe .... what are the possible solutions.

I have already arranged for an affidavit from my father in India supporting
the same.

I remember reading somewhere that some sot of affidavit from the Indian consulate may also be required.

In my certificate my name spelling has a minor difference. In one place it was "O" and then later it changed in school certificate and passport to "A" (typical "Bong" confusion, if you know what I mean - like "Big BOng Theory" to "Big BAng Theory"). Never got any RFE for that.
In case you get RFE, two affidavits should be good enough. In addition, if you are from India, you can attach your school leaving certificate too (if that has your date of birth).
