I missed my oath letter because I went to India (father died) and they sent no show letter also. After that I asked my friend to return the original letter with a cover letter explaining the situation to postpone the oath ceremony. That was in oct 08. When I return to US in march went to local office Los Angeles CA to reopen the case and changed my address to OH because I don't want to miss the oath letter again since I don't have permanent address in CA. THey suggested to call 1800 number to transfer and go to local office OH also. I did both and send a written address change form in the mail also. I got a letter saying address is changes and requested to transfer the file. After two months nothing is happened and I went to local office OH and inquired. THey did not received my file yet. THey suggested to call 1800 number and also send all previous documents with explaining situation in cover letter. I did that in May 26th 09. I received a letter from Los Angeles office denying my application. Reason they have given is they sent certified mail on 29th april and it was returned to them by May 2nd. I didn;t show up second time also so I abondened my application hence they are denying it. If i want to appear for rehearing, I have to pay $605 with N336 form to the local office. I didnot receied any letter that was sent on 29th April. I don't know what to do. How letter will go back with in 4days coming to OH without informing me. WHen I inquired with 1800 number the address was correct (OH) and no address is changed after March 21st. I am in OH now. If any communication I have to do is with Los angeles office because they sent the letters and had my file. Could anybody suggest what to do? SHould I go to the local office and ask them to transfer my file. IF they don't transfer within 30days los angeles office with deny my naturalization. Oh office don't want to request to transfer my file. They are asking me to call 1800 number and do it. I did it twice Mar 23rd and May 20th (I got a case number also). I have to go to india to do death anniversary so I am in urgent to complete before I go to india. ANy suggestion would really appreciate.
