Missing I-94 from H1 approval notice: Please Help

Hi gurus!!

I am in a bad position please help me.

I was on H4 and applied for my h1. It got approved on 7th of august. The lwayer received the approval notice but the approval notice didn't have the I-94 attached to it. The lwayer says that they asked USCIS to send the I-94 card but it has been more than 1 month since then and they say they can't do anything more than waiting.

In the meantime i got a job and the new company wanted to go for new H1 b but now as the cap is over we need to go for H1 transfer, How can things work now? with missing I-94 can i get the transfer bcoz in absence of that i can't apply for SSN that means can't start working.

Please share your view how i should proceed..
 
I got the amended H1 approval

My lawyer had sent the correspondence regarding the missing I94 on 22nd aug. He followed up with another fax after 1 month, and then gave a call to the USCIS toll free number.

Finally i received my amended H1 approval notice.
Hope your lawyer has also taken steps in this direction.
 
My wife is in the same situation, could you please let me know what procedure your attorney fallowed in sending the correspondence. Please help me out in this regard.

Sorry for delay in replying.
I am not a regular member of the forum so didn't see your mail.
As i mentioned earlier i kept on pressurizing my lawyer to contact the USICS. My lawyer had sent a letter immediately after receiving the h1 approval stating that there was a service error from the USCIS and they should rectify the error.
For nealry a month there was no response from them. Then he sent two faxes in a span of 1 week stating the same and asking for response. I called the toll free number at USCIS and asked myself, then the lady on phone suggested that i should ask the lawyer to call her as they provide infm to only the lawyer or the employer. So the lawyer called up at that number and asked them to send the paper and gave all the details. after that within a week i got the fresh H1 approval notice which stated it to be ammended H1 approval and had the I-94 attached with it.
