Missing H4 approval notice (I-539)

I have received the H1 approval (I-129) - it is with my employer. However we did not receive the H4 approval for my wife in mail. We received the earlier receipt notice for H4. Is there a way to request for a copy of approval notice with USCIS ?

I am in the same boat. My H1B was approved in May 2006 but my company has not received the approval notice from USCIS. My HR personnel contacted USCIS several times but no response from them. I have talked to USCIS but they only entertain requests from petitioner or lawyer on record. Finally my lawyer has filed a I-824 pertition requesting a duplicate approval notice on today.

I am not a lawyer but I would suggest you to

1) contact the person who filed petition call USCIS for mailing another copy of missing H4. You can check updates on H4 case thru online status check.
2) If you do not see any response, you can have them file a I-824 for requesting a duplicate copy. However I am not sure how long I-824 process takes..

You can request USCIS for a duplicate copy of approval notice. Take help of your lawer and file the petition.
