Missed the fingerprint appointment

I filed my I-485 in Aprial 2002. On May 9, 2002, Texas Center mailed a notice requesting me appear for fingerprint recording, which I never received it! The information was obtained from online status check. Even though I didn't change my address until the spring 2003.

Fax has been sent to the Texas Center, but no response back ever. Could anyone tell me if missing the fingerprint would jeopardize my I-485 case? What should I do to get another appointment?

Here are a couple of things you might want to do:
1. Call BCIS 800 number or local INS office to find out steps to reschedule.
2. Call the place where you were supposed to go for fingerprinting and ask them.

Missing fingerprinting appointment will not jeopardize your 485 process except that you 485 approval will be delayed by that much time!
