Hi all,

Just today heard form lawyer office that my 2nd finger print notice have been sent out to apprear for Feb 6th. I didn't receive any notice and lawyer office also has received after the date has passed.

I am supposed to do the finger print on Feb 6th. What shall I do now? Can I go in to INS office and do without any appointment or is there any other procedure?

Also, I did my 1st finger print in Boston, is it ok to go to any other local INS office or do I have to go to Boston only?

Please help!!!

Thanks.

if u miss the appointment , u can go on any following wednesday without any problems..check the notice it should say some where...dont panic..

Thanks for the response.

Can anyone tell me where I can do my finger printing? Is it ok to do in any location or do I have to go only my local center?

Thanks.

Ask your lawyer to sent the FP notice to you via an overnight courier. Go to the address on the FP notice.

thanks, but the problem is I am in Detroit now and my filing center is Boston.

Do I have to go to Boston or can I do in Detroit INS itself?

Please advice. Thanks.

You can very well do ur FP in detroit itself and dont panick. In order to do FP, you need to have notice, so call NCSC and request for additional notice. Hope you filed AR-11 when u changed ur addrress, cuz its mandatory

This might have been the reason you never received the FP notice.
Did you file AR-11?
Did you also call the NCSC to update your address?

I have seen ,2FP after one week on date of notice. No one noticed if the notice date is expired and did 2nd fp suceessfully. Unless they ask ,no need to panic. You can always tell them genuine problem if they ask.

Thanks for all the responses.

Detroit visit is just temporary. Anyway, I am planning to go to Detroit INS center after receiving notice from lawyer.

Thanks everyone. Appreciate ur help.

Also, heard form lawyer that we can do fingerprint within 84 days of notice.

Lets see how it goes.

Thanks all.

Yes you can do FP after 80days from the notice. We went to our office yesterday and told them we want to do FP early as we will be out of country on the scheduled date 3/18/2004. He said that we can do our FP after the date and it is valid for somewhere between 80-87 days dont know exactly but not before. But we argued with them and did FP yesterday. This is our 2nd FP
