missed appointment

It says clearly on the appointment notice (at least on mine) that "if you fail to appear as scheduled, your application will be considered abandoned." Your friend should contact USCIS immediately.

I think it could also depend. Mine said that if I cannot make it at that time set, I can go at the same time any other following Wed. before a certain date and it will be fine. I called and they said if it does not say to call and reschedule then all u need to do is make sure you go before the end date they give you. It all depends on what hers/his notice said.

i think he should walk in and see if they will do the fingerprinting immediatly.hopefully the will allow it and everything will be fine.

In most places, fingerprinting is outsourced and done by a third party, who are not USCIS employees. Obviously, that also means that they are much nicer and a lot more friendly and helpful. I walked in for my fingerprinting a few days before the actual appointment in Dallas and it was fine. I think most of them are open Tuesday through Saturday instead of Monday through Friday. You should just walk in and see if they would do it even though you missed the appointment. Let us know what happens. Good luck!

My letter for FP say the same thing as------ Chocolat

He should walk in, I think he will be allowed to do it

Good luck to him

They have been changing a lot of the FP and biometrics procedure since last year...so now is pretty different on how was before.

Your friend must check the hours of operation for the ASC that s/he must go and walk in with the appointment letter.

Good luck,

I missed my biometrics appointment as I was out of the country. I arrived a few days after the scheduled date and called my attorney. He told me to go to the facility early, wait in line before they open. The security officer looked at my appt notice and allowed me in without asking a question. I was the first to have the bio done and I was out in 15 minutes.
Looking at my case status online it says processing has resumed on my case.
