Misplaced Tax Returns

I have asked similar question in other threads. Can some one help me. I got an RFE for tax return. But unfortunately I misplace tax returns :(
I learnt that we can order Tax Return Transcripts from IRS. Has any one done this way ? Are the transcripts sufficient or should I need actual photo copies of the returns I filed (this would take 60 days to get from IRS).

Help me please...

Thanks

transcripts, W-2's and 1099's

I would think transcripts, W-2's and 1099's should be good. But since you probably have 90 days (I think thats the typical time given to respond to RFE), you might as well try to obtain photocopies of tax returns as well. If you have used a tax preparer services, they might have a soft copy of your returns, which they can reprint for you.

It's only my opinion. You might want to contact legal/tax experts on this issue.

Thank you ..
I never heard of form 1099. I have W2 for last 4 years. That is all I got from my employer. What is 1099 ?

Is there one on this form submitted Transcripts instead of photo copies of the tax returns.

Does copies of W2 and Transcripts are sufficient.

Regards
