Misplaced 140/485 file

Guys,
I Just foundout that my file has been Misplaced by INS. Its been 2 months since i applied my 485/140. I was wondering if anyone has any idea as to how much time INS takes in searching the file. any feeback would be appreciated.
 
How do you know your file is misplace by INS? did you call them and they told you that they couldn't locate your files? Did you got a receipt notice? Does AVM show your application status?

my company's law firm called INS and found out that the file was missing...I din't get my receipt dates...
 
Please don't belive that..

Company attornies will give all such reasons.
There is no way the file being missed in the INS office..

To delay your process, they are playing all these durty tricks..

Follow up with your attorny.. I am sure, file is in att. office..
