Minimum wage requirement for filing I-485

I filed my I-140 couple month ago. Since now the I-485 can be filed concurrently with I-140, I talked to my company's lawyer and HR people. But I was told, because my current salary is not high enough, the company would wait either my I-140 is approved or my salary is increased to the required one. My question is, if my LC has a higher salary (and most likely) than my actual one and the employer doesn't want to file the concurrent fileing, what can I do to persuade them?
Any help would be very much appreciated.

Technically, You can still apply yourself with the employment letter and the copies of the I140 receipt, LC etc.
