Miminum wage for H1 Stamping

Hi,

I am going to go to India for a new H1 stamping.Its at chennai.

I would like to know what is the minimum prevailing wage that is
accepted by the labour department.


What is the accepted salary per annum?


Does it change from state to state?


Is there any website from which I can find out?

there are too many details in determining the prevailing wage. The LCA filed for you will have the prevailing wage and I-129 H1 application of yours will have the wages offered to you. compare the wages offered to you and the prevailing wage set out in your LCA. You can browse through the labor dept website to determine the prevailing wage . If you can give the job location and the job title i can help/guide you to find the prevailing wage. You may have to email to chennai consulate and find out the appointment scheduling, i think their clalanders get filled up pretty soon so before booking the ticket schedule your visa appointment at the consulate.
