Middle Name change

Guys,

I want to change my wife's middle name. Her last name before marriage was same as mine.

Her interview is in March and my DO does not do the same day oath.

Will it delay the oath due to change in the middle name?

Name change oath ceremonies require a judge so can only be done during a judicial oath ceremony. Does your DO only offer judicial oath ceremony or also USCIS administrative oath ceremony? If your DO offers only judicial oath ceremony then it will not be delayed. If your DO offers USCIS administrative oath ceremonies as well, then it will most probably have to wait for the next judicial oath ceremony (since administrative ones are scheduled more frequently than judicial).
 
During the interview the IO asks you if you would like to change your name, as it is the last time prior to the oath that you can make it happen. At that point she can ask for it. I am not sure of any supporting documentation that must accompany such a request, though. Good luck to you both :)
