mexico to India travel

If your visa is denied at a US consulate in Mexico, what are the options available to fly to India from Mexico.


Looking at online travel websites all flights are routed via the US.
Q) Is it true that you need a transit visa to travel via US?
Q) What is the time needed for issuance of transit visa.

Anybody with any experience in this regard?

You can easily travel from Mexico city to India while avoiding US. You take flight either from Mexico City to some place in Europe and continue on to India. I know Air France definitely flies to Mexico. So you can Take Mexico City --->Paris --->Mumbai/Delhi flight.
