MESSY INS,I am confused!

This looks funny but it is really annoying to see how INS is unorganised.
I called the NSC and asked them about their incorrect GC processing time information.
1.Web site shows that I will get my GC in 2009

2. Voice messaging system says by the end of this year.

3. The INS officer told me I will get my GC in 2004.

What the hell is this???????.
I am really confused by this kind of MESS.
Your opinoion please.

I don't get why to be confused. If you filed in 2001 the estimated year for your application to be processed is 2009. Depending on what month you filed, check the attached document (taken from the web).
Voice messaging system is providing missleading information and
INS officers sometimes make mistakes.
I kindly suggest take some time to read old postings in this forum, you will find valuable information, and won't be confused anymore. That way we won't need to go over again topics widely discussed before.

You have raised these questions before and people explained to you that the phone messages are just not relevant to asylees. The information on the web is the best estimate out there.

You are not going to see your approval before 2009. I know it is frustrating but we all have to accept reality.

Also, I think it is pointless and perhaps selfish to call the INS about our processing time. The time is already out there and they cannot speed it up . This just makes it more difficult for people who really need to get in touch with INS to get through. Just imagine that you are in those people's shoes.
 
Guys take it wasy on Gebre please. I think he is frustrated because the guy at the NSC has misguided him. We have to acknowledge that these guys who answered the phones at the NSC are so misguiding and ignorant about what is really going on the NSC. i can not tell you how many time I did call them and they gave me the wrong information. As for you Gebre, I think the sad truth is that you really will have to wait 7 years unless the president or Congress act soon. Peace
