Dear fellow members,
I heard from INS voice message, that my case, as well as my spouse and son, were approved yesterday. Notice not received.
Here is my details: EB2, NIW (self), China, RD 8/4/99, ND 8/25/99, FP 7/26/00, PD 1/12/98, EAC99250... two EAD.
I got a RFE in 12/18/00 asking all approval notices for my spouse and son\'s about their previous status changes and extensions, J2 to F2, F2 to H4, H4 to H4, etc. INS can not find the documents they issued! No RFE for myself at all, principal applicant. RFE send out and received on 01/04/01.
It seems that the long, grueling, painful waiting period is going to over soon. Finally, I see the light in the tunnel.
I came US as J1. After exhausting processing for waiver, COS to F1 then to H1, 140, H1 to H1, 485, I am here now.
During the i485, I survived two company changes (outsource), one project migration, several internal re-org, many management changes and one personal address change. Every time, add some concerns and worries for the pending i485. Who can guarantee INS would not challeng any of those?
I never called IIO since I did not see much help from this board. I do check auto voice every couple days.
I know exactly how do you guys feel when you see many fellows with much later ND got approved. I know many of you missed some good opportunities during the long waiting as I did. We paid big price for this GC.
This board is so wonderful and informative. I got many info and support from here. Many many thanks for the good job.
My best wishes for all of the remaining Aug. club members and others. Although many have said, I will say again, hang on there, your turn will come soon. Patient is key to survive psychologically. Do not torture yourself mentally.
I would answer questions regarding my case.

Congratulations! It\'s very kind of you for giving us all the informations. I\'ll be very much appresciated if you can answer me several questions: 1). Are you the primary applicant? 2).The REF was sent to you or your spouse? 3). It seems INS will hold your case until other family member get approved, do you think so?

My situation is quite similar to yours. ND 8-17-99, EB2, FP 6-?-00. I was told on 12-19-00 that I was going to receive a letter, nothing happened to me until now. But my spouse(dependent appplicant) got an intend to deny notice on 1-2-01 for the proof of legal status since entering US, we reponded on 1-10-01. I suspect the letter they mentioned is actually the letter to my spouse and they are holding my case for my family members. Please give your comment.

I am the primary applicant. My wife and my son are dependents. Although in our cases, INS sounds holding the all cases until all of the family members are processed, I do know my friend has different situation. In his case, the primary applicant and one child were approved first. The spouse wasn\'t got approved until three weeks later. I\'m not sure that was mailing delay or processed differently.
I hope I answered your questions and thank you for the comments. Good luck to you!

BTW, the two RFE (for my spouse and my son) were send to my lawyer from VSC. Neither my spouse nor I receiceived the letters from VSC ever. We got call from my lawyer then I asked my lawyer to give me the copies. I\'m not sure if that was because I changed address about two months ago. But I asked my lawyer to notify INS about the address change right after my moving and the lawyer said he did.

The REF were sent to your lawyer with your spouse and son\'s name on it, but not yours, am I right? By the way, does the AVM changed? It never change for me and my spouse.

Thank you and have a good night!

The REF were send out with my spouse and child\'s names and c/o to lawyer. Two seperate RFEs. Only lawyer\'s address one the letters. AVM changed when REF send out for both of them (not mine) and AVM changed again for them after the RFEs received by VSC.
