I've got RFE for my case about 2 weeks ago. And now I received an email says;

"the document we made based on the approval or registration of this case was mailed directly to the person to whom issued."

What excatly does that message mean?

Thanks

seems like RFE was generated in error, and yoru case has been approved. wait for few days till u have approval notice in ur hand.

I really want to believe that my case is approved. But we've received a detailed document from USCIS that they need additional documents.

How do we check whether my case is approved or not?

I just called USCIS customer service. They are also saying that the case is approved.

I'm still skeptic. Why would CIS sends a detailed RFE and approve it 2 weeks later.

Because...well, never mind.

A colleague at work had waited for over a year for his AOS interview in New York City. He was scared senseless after being asked for an interview because he had done EB1-EA and was afraid they were going to nail him. He even brought a lawyer. When he got there, they asked him why he was there because his AOS had been approved six months earlier. They stamped his passport and he left.

How about recent BCIS May 4th memo regarding reduction in number of unnecessary RFEs:

"U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) issued a memorandum on May 4th instructing the field to issue decisions rather than RFEs in many cases."

Sounds like an adjudicator of your case first issued RFE, then read May 4th memo and decided to approve your case ;)

They are all too human... sometimes we forget.

PS: Hi Brian! I got my O-1 earlier last month... in 6 days. I think clearing up of the premium processing bottle neck helped. Next up is NIW!

Thank you for your comments, but I get to know that my case is NOT approved. The message is real but it indicates different status.

Briefly; My lawyer officially requested a case status from USCIS about a month ago. USCIS responded that request with an official letter. Then they post that response as an information in the form of;

"the document we made based on the approval or registration of this case was mailed directly to the person to whom issued".

So basically what I'm seeing on USCIS web site is an informational post about an activity in the case, not an actual approval.

So what I'm going to do now is to prepare for response to RFE.

Wish me luck...
