I am currently on my F-1 OPT and working with a company. My petition for H-1 visa was recently rejected because of the quota issues. My OPT expires in Jan 2007 and my visas expire in Dec. 2006. I know that I get 60 days extention after my OPT expiration. Can I still apply for H-1 for the 2008 quota or, should I get an F-1 extention? Also are there any chances for the 2007 quota for H-1 to increase keeping in mind the current immigration issues?
