I understand that when I am 62 and have earned my 40 quarters I can apply for SS (not Medicare until 65) and that my spouse, who has a green card and will then be 80, will be eligible for Medicare from that point. Is there any requirement for the length of time he has to have the green card before he can claim for Medicare? Thanks.
