Applied 485 in July 2002 - waiting for FP.
When do I have to give my medical - do I have to wait until the final stage or can I give it now?
 
OOPS

You have to give your medicals along with your 485 Application. If you have not done so, do it ASAP, contact a immigration Lawyer for further assistance.
 
Some lawyers do like this...

I know one of my friend in the same stage. His lawyer told him not to give medicals until BCIS ask for it.

GC will not get approved without a medical. So if you haven't done medicals yet, you will surely gets an RFE.

Do it soon...
 
Medicals - do they have a expiry period?

I was told that the medicals have a expiry period and therefore the lawyers do not recommend it to be taken earlier on as 485 is taking a good amount of time.

If your I485 is applied with in one year after doing your medicals, you are fine (they are valid until your 485 is approved).

If it's been more than a year since you did your medicals, and you did not file your 485 application, then you would have to do it again.
