For how long medicals submitted with 485 remain valid? 12 months or 15 months? I had done my medical in Sep '03 and submitted them with 485 in Oct 03. Now TSC has issued a RFE for medical on my 485. Can i resubmit the old medicals from the same Doctor in sealed envelope if possible?
I am wondering whetherr my Lawyer (Liar..) goofed up in sending the medical or whetherr TSC lost it or if they have actually expired...
Also i had all the required vaccinations, no Class A or Class B condition nor any other medical concern....

Thanks

You have to redo the medical again. Medicals are valid for one year before filing I-485. For example, say I did my medical Oct 1 2003, and filed 485 Oct5, 2003 the medical will be valid as long as the case is pending. But if you did medical a while back before filing your 485 you probably will have to redo it again. It could possibly also be a lawyer goof up like sending it late without your knowledge

I highly suspect the lawyer goofed up somewhere, or the civil surgeon left some areas of the form incomplete by mistake.

I have copy of the form and it is complete in all respects..

Even my Colleague got the medicals..
It is actually valid for one year..that is what my Attorney told me..

So it is common to get..do not get frustrated..
You will get approval within two weeks..

January 8, 2004 MEMORANDUM
FOR REGIONAL DIRECTORS SERVICE CENTER DIRECTORS DISTRICT DIRECTORS FROM: William R. Yates /S/ by Janis Sposato
Associate Director, Operations
SUBJECT: Validity of Medical Certifications
Purpose This memorandum extends the validity of civil surgeon endorsements on Form I-693 for certain adjustment of status applicants.
Background and Summary For adjustment of status applicants, the endorsement of a civil surgeon on Form I-693, Medical Examination of Aliens Seeking Adjustment of Status, is valid for one year. Some adjustment of status applications that are properly filed with a Form I-693 are pending for more than the one-year validity period. In a policy memorandum dated July 23, 2003, the Service extended the validity of the civil surgeon endorsement on Form I-693 until the adjustment of status application could be adjudicated. This policy is limited to those applications where no Class A or Class B medical conditions were certified. The policy was in effect until January 1, 2004.
Extension Until January 1, 2005
Due to the continuing backlog of some adjustment of status applications, the validity of the civil surgeon’s endorsement on Form I-693, when filed concurrently with Form I-485, is extended until the adjustment application is adjudicated, if no Class A or Class B medical condition is certified. This policy is in effect until January 1, 2005. For Further Information Questions regarding the above policy should be directed via DHS electronic mail, to Mark Rouse, HQ Office of Program and Regulatory Development.
