I got an RFE for my medical

RFE says that my form 693 and supplemental form does not seem to have original signature and/or stamp

i saw the forms
the forms ARE signed!
the dr. has done a very very very short signature
its in black
stamp also in black

right where the signature is, there is a "sign here" sticker

has anyone seen such a thing before?

questions

1) should i get the dr. to sign again in SAME form?
2) does the pen color matter? (black stamp and black sign, looks like photocopy, is that an issue?

If I were you than I would just do what the USCIS has specified - it should'nt matter if the sign is in black or blue. But generally the doctor is supposed to sign in full in the first place. I would have asked the doctor beforehand whether or not he had handled enough of such immigration - related medical checkups before or not. Beacuse an in-experienced one would lead you to undue delays in your processing.

wtf

i called dr.'s office

they said we ALWAYS sign in black ink
and always same sign
thousands of forms
this is first time uscis sent an RFE for them

my lawyer said
sign the same original form AGAIN in blue ink.
tell the dr. to date the second signature

god,
what is going on!

I got the RFE for Medical and USCIS asks the original copy of the medical I-693 form. I believe that last time i had sent the original copy in unopened and sealed envelope.

You doctor and his/her staff are just dumb. Manual Signatures are supposed to be in blue. Printed ones are supposed to be in black. It's a convention to differentiate b/w real and printed signature.
