Medical RFE, I-693 & I-693 Supplemental

I hope some of you could answer the question. I just received an RFE for my and my wife's medical. For myself, they want the I-693 Supplemental filled out (listing all the immunizations). Even though I was immunized in my home country, I have no proof to show for it. Wil I have to get all the immunizations NOW? What happens if the doctor checks the last line in the supplemental form: "Applicant doesn't meet immunization requirements"? Will my application be outrightly rejected?

For my wife, in addition to the above information, they've asked for TB test. When we first did the medical, and her TB test was not done because of pregnance. Well, guess what, she's pregnant again! What will happen in this case? Should she go ahead and do the TB test anyway (the I-693 form says in case of pregnancy, you can chose to do either the chest X ray OR the TB skin test, implying that both are safe to do in pregnancy???) And what happens if the TB test is positive? Does it have to be treated before the RFE can be replied to?

One more thing, is the chest Xray REQUIRED of all applicants? My doctor didn't do it for me, only did the TB skin test.

Thanks guys for the help.

When I went for my medical the doctor asked me what vaccinations i had and i told them. I did not have to give any documentation to prove that I had. But i did show the doc my vaccination marks. It is unsafe and harmful to the fetus to do an x-ray. You don't want to do that. You can talk to your doctor for further details.

No -- the chest Xray is needed only if you had a positive reaction to the skin test.
Skin tests give false positives and the Xray is basically to rule that out.

If your skin test was negative, the Dr won't do an xray.

In my case, the TB skin test was negative, but the doctor still did the X-ray test. Both was negative. However, the Medical form states that the x-ray is the recommended method, the skin test is acceptable only for pregnant women.

However, the doctor would do neither the skin test nor the xray during pregnancy, nor any other immunizations.

The TB skin test does not affect the pregnancy ( My wife did it and she was pregnant). The remaining required immunization could be done as long does not affect the baby (check with your doctor). My wife and I had the required immunization done on our home country (Brazil). We had to do only the TB test, blood test, and the physical.
