I have mailed the results of medical test already to AOS team at my lawyer.
The doctor DID NOT conduct Tuberculin Skin Test. I had taken the skin test back in January 1997
and had tested positive(reaction > 5 mm). The INS doctor, therefore , did not take my test for I-693 and instead, she asked me to
do chest X-ray which was normal. However, there is no place on the form to mention that the skin test was done previously and that is why
it was not done.
Also she put the following remarks on I-693 medical form
Examination for tuberculosis -- Skin Test ----- NOT DONE
Examination for tuberculosis-- Chest X-ray report --- NORMAL
Is this going to be OK?
Will INS still ask me to do the Skin test , as soon as they see NOT DONE , on medical form I-693?
Will INS geberate RFE for this?
I checked the same with the doctor.
She said , you should be OK.
Anybody in same situation got RFE?
Pls let me know.
I understand that if the skin test reaction is > 5mm , you are required to take chest X-ray , which is confirmatory test
for Tuberculosis. So, logically, chest X-ray is definitely more advanced test for Tuberculosis.
However, does the INS apply this logic or they ask you to do skin test , as soon as they see NOT DONE
on medical form? That is why I want to know , if there were similar cases, where INS did not apply this logic and were asked
to do skin test.
