Here is some background, during my medical exam my blood was reactive to one of the viruses from BCIS list. With confirmatory test it was ruled out, and doctor told me that this is all clear and I don't need to undergo any treatment etc.

Now, I've received the medical RFE asking that Civil Surgon should establish that I have undergone treatment and if it was a communicable disease then the treatment was completed.

I never underwent any treatment based on the Civil Surgon's advise. With this RFE I'm very tensed as what should be done. I've already taken appointment from the Civil Surgon for Thursday.

Please advise what should I seek from this doctor. Should I ask for a clarification letter. Also, do I need to carry new medical forms with me.

Thanks

Take the RFE to your civil surgeon. He should be able to explain why no treatment is needed in your case if applicable. He should also be able to explain to BCIS why it does not apply to you (i.e. virus does not exist). In any case, do give him a call.

Take the medicals from Civil surgeon

Have you done your medicals with INS suggested doctors, if not INS will send you an RFE to take medicals from one of the INS suggested Civil Surgeons. So, don't worry and take the test, have the INS form filled by the Civil Surgeon and reply to the RFE. You should be fine. This can be an oppurtunity for your case to get on to the top of the list. Good Luck and post your updates.

Thanks for the response GC Don and Sadiq, I really appreciate it.

I went to the Civil Surgeon today, she looked at it and was amused that somebody in INS does not know how to read.

However, she wrote a nice letter to INS explaining that the confirmatory test was negative and that I show no physical and / or clinical signs of the virus. Also, she has consulted with specialists and agents from County Centre for Disease Control, to suggest that I am free from the stated virus and need no treatment. She also stated that there is nothing infectious in my body and I need no treatment.

I've mailed this envelope to my attorney, she should submit it shortly.

Hope BCIS accepts this response for me. In my friends case he was in similar situation and received similar letter from CS. BCIS heartly accepted it and sent him GC.

Thanks
