Applied in Apr 2002. Received assessment on 1 Oct'03.
Was asked to submit updated docs+ROLF in 90 days and to do medicals in 60 days.

I have send the updated docs + ROLF to CIC last week.

Regarding medicals, myself(primary applicant) and my husband
did our medicals on 5th Nov.
On 25th Nov, my husband was called again for some more tests from the doctor . Per doctor, my husband's sugar was high and he diagnosed him having 'diabetes'. We never knew about this. The doctor will check the sugar level for another 3-4 months and then only he will send our medical reports to CIC.

Now, my question is -

1) All these tests will eventually cross 60 day limit. Will all this affect my chances of getting PR ? Do I need to tell CIC about this or will they automatically come to know ?

2) Can I get the passport request from CIC even before the doctor sends the medical reports ?

pls let me know. What are my chances of getting PR ? We were expecting PP request this month (before all this started).
Thanks .

HI

Since you sent the medicals recently, can you share the address in Ottawa where the medicals are to be sent. Actually my husband has got his done the 2nd time, as he was diagnosed with some kidney problem. But we asked the doc to send it anyways. Now he is a little better, and we had the photocopy of the medical, so we thought we'll send a new one again. The doc. says the address for medicals in Ottawa has changed, any update on it.

Please this is urgent

Thanks

The problem with your husband's medical is minor-i.e. diabetes won't place 'undue stress on Canada's health resources'-so you have nothing to worry about. Unless the doctor says that the disease has other related complications.
It will however add a few months to your approval.

The address and the phone number where the medicals are sent will not be given to the applicant or benificiary. Only the Doctors office can call the Surgeon General/CMO's office in Ottawa.
