Hi all,

I am going to redo my medical exam in 2 days. The question I have is regarding TB skin test. I had it before and it came positive. I did the X-ray and it is fine. The doctor I am going to is saying that since I had BCG shots at home and also the TB skin test came positive there is no need to redo it again. I can do the X-ray directly and the INS are fine with it. Is that correct? anybody did this before. or did the X-ray without the skin test?

Thanks,
Spartakus

I believe some INS doctors do X-ray without skin test. Just call the INS approved dr's office in your area and find out how they do.

well if ones PPD is positive it will be positive for rest of life and there is no need to repeat :)

BCG and TB x-ray

Don't even bother doing skin test if you have had a BCG. Directly go for x-ray i did the same.

I am a dependent my I-485: 12/31/03

when I went for my medical, I asked him to skip the skin test and take the X-Ray directly. It cost a little extra but saved the second trip...
