I picked up paperwork from a civic doctor today and it lists;

TD
MMR
RPR (What is this anyway??)
HEP B
Varicella

On the government site the list has several more:http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_1331.html

  • Polio
  • Pertussis
  • Pneumococcal
  • Influenza

Are they needed for immigration process?
I was going to run to my regular doctor tomorrow and get those shots before my appointment with the civic surgeon. I didn't want to get anything that I don't need. The civic surgeion's office was not too helpful. I guess they want me to get everything done in their office to make more money.

Thanks in advance.

RPR is the syphilis test. You will have to do that with the blood work. On the vaccines if you have documentation of receiving them as a child or later then you don't need unless time elapsed qualifies you for boosters. Getting them at your primary doc and representing the documents will save you money.
