Medical Exams - Urgent!

Hi, can someone help me? I received a letter from Canada asking me to take the medical exam. There is only one doctor here that can perform the exam. Unfortunately, the only appointment I can get is 2 months out. I checked the other locations in other nearby cities (which is not really near at all) and can't get an appointment sooner. The letter states that one has to take the medical exam within 30-60 days to avoid delays in the application. Does anyone know whether taking the medical exam 2 months later is going to detrimentally affect my application?

Thank you so much for your replies.

My lawyer always made it sound urgent. So, I guess the deadlines need to be taken seriously.

May be you can talk to your doctor and make him understand how does it affect your application.

All the best.

It is always better to finish the immigration related tasks first.
If the doc is not near then also, I would recommend to do it first.

there are so many places u can get it done without prior appointment

Well... all u need to do is ...send them a letter and let them know your current situation.... But i would suggest if you take your medical before the given time expires... well i took my medical here in Dallas ...and it took me only an hour to get it done....no appointment at all......

how much did they charge you at Dallas, and what all they did? I am in austin thats why I ask.
