I did my medical examination for 485 in dec2001
hoping that my i-140 will be cleared in dec,because
i filed my i-140 in oct2001.But unluckily
my case went to RFE in jan 2002&i am still waitng for the result.
my question is that ,anybody knows the validity of the medical exam?
the perood is applicable for filing?or till the approval of 485?
can anybody give some information.

I am planning to get my medical done in anticipation of approval of my I-140, do i need to take some special forms/ INS papers to the doctor

It takes just 2-3 days to finish this medical exam

requirement. Why do you want to do it before I-140 approval ?
 
speeds up

if I am ready with all the paper work before I-140 approval i can submit 485 right away, plus the lead time for doctors appt.

dont do the medical till yr i-140 is cleared.this is my advice,
but upto U.what is the gaurntiy that yr i-140 will be approved on time.
C my case,i filed my I-140 in oct 2001 &did my medical in dec2001 hoping that my 140 will be cleared in dec.
but still it has not cleared because of RFE &other stuff.again this is my advice,u can go ahead
medical is not a big deal ,u pay the money somany doctors r there (INS approved)
that is only 2 day affair.
