Hi,

Can some one please suggest a good USCIS doctor in Boston, MA. Also can some one please summarize all the tests/procedures that needs to be done as part of the I-485 medical.

Thanks

I don't live in Boston; so not in a position to reccomend you a doctor. But here's a list of things that'll happen.

1) Check out http://www.uscisdoctor.com/ and depending on your age group, you'll need to have proof of vaccinations or get them at the time of your medical test.

2) TB skin test is required. if it comes positive (after 48 hours) then a chest x-ray is required.

3) Blood test for HIV and Syphilis (RPR)

4) The physical exam is simple; they'll test your reflexes ( eye ball movement, tapping on the knee to see if your leg moves; the doctor will ask you when you got your chickenpox; ask you about family health history, ask you if you have drink or smoke and how often).

For items 1,2 &3: my suggestion, if your local hospital (covered by insurance) gives you the vaccinations, blood test and tb skin test then you should get them there. otherwise these, immigration approved doctors will charge you an arm and a leg for it.

Good luck.
