For those who have done medical exam, did your immigration exam physician file insurance for your exam costs (physical, vaccination etc.)? If not, are you able to claim insurance on your own. I called a couple immigration exam physician and was told they do not get involved with insurance and that i may or may not be able to claim the expenses from the insurance company as the receipt would say "immigration physical exam". i would think this is legitimate expense for insurance as it is a regular physical check up.pls share your experience.

Yes - I just submitted the bill to the "out of network provider" address. They refunded some part of the bill. Funnily, I got a different amount than my wife. I think we got back about 30% of the total cost

Technically it's not a regular checkup. It's not for need of your good health, but for the need of some bureaucratic requirement - i.e. immigration. Whether it's covered by insurance, that depends on your insurance type and who is your physician. Normally regular PPO,HMO,EPO provided by employers either do not cover or cover partially for immigration checkups.
