Hi,
I am curious as how can I connect my EACxxxxxxxxx's with someone else. For e.g:My I-140 EAC no. is similar to someone else
I765 APPLICATION (my last digit is 5 & his is 4). How does BCIS allot the no.s? It seems there is no rleation between EAC no.s and your immigration application. So,if my friend & myself submit application on the same day for different visas,we get similar EAC no.s. Is that ture?

As per my understanding, your EAC number has the following components

EAC YY NNN XXXXX

YY - is the year as far as BCIS is concerned, 02 for 2002, 03 for 2003. Their year starts in October so your number will have 03 from october onwards
NNN - is the number of days from the start of the year. 001 for 1st day of year and 365 for the last day of the year
XXXXX is a serial number for that day.
 
EAC represents Vermont Service Center, as LIN represents NSC.

The following two digits represents the year, 02 for 2002, 03 for 2003.

The following three digits are the day of the fiscal year. BICS's fiscal year starts on Oct 1st.

The rest digits are the case number.
