Hi all,

I heard the long awaited message... today that my case has been approved.

Following are my case details:

PD : Aug\'98
ND : Sep\'99
RD : Oct\'99
FP : Nov\'00
RFE : May\'01
RFE sent : Jun\'01
Contacted senator : July 18th 2001
Approval Date : July 31st 2001 (per AVM)

Senator\'s office replied saying INS has logged the information in on July 17th.

How do you find and contact senators ? I live in Minnesota. What should I do to find our senator. BTW, did your AVM ever changed to ack. that they received your RFE rsponse..
 
I found it on web

Hi,

I searched for Portland senator on web and found their web page. I then called them directly. There is a specific person (or two) that handles INS issues. They asked me to send a letter by FAX or mail. Once I sent that letter, it was amazingly fast. They responded in 6 days or so.

AVM never got changed to anything like "we received your RFE response" instead it directly said "This case has been approved".
