May04 485 approved as dependent (primary approved 2 months ago)

This is my first post.

I filed 485 together with as dependent of my husband in May 04. His got approved 4/12 and card received 4/18. Since then I've been waiting. Called Vermont a few times and was told everything was completed on my file since May 2nd. Asked laywer to file an inquiry which seemed to be done in early June. Yesterday, got email saying my 485 was approved and card ordered. Call frequency was like once every two weeks but it didn't seem to help much. I guess the approval was triggered by the inquiry.
 
Did they tell you why your case was adjudicated with your husband.

In which category did your husband applied for?

They didn't say the reason explicitly, but I believe it's because of two things, first out last names are different, second I was on F1 instead of H4. I guess that because when I first time I called in, they asked those questions, and responded like "oh, that's why..." when I said I was F1 and had different last names.

They did mention once that since I had independent immigration status it's quite reasonable that my case would be approved 2-4 weeks later than the primary though it turned out even longer.
 
Thank you for your reply. Many dependents maintain their maiden name after marriage.

probably, the second reason seem to be more acceptable.

by the way, did they notice that you made several call?
