May I have a gap of my EAD?

New to this board. My EAD will expire on 12/23 this year, but I have my H1 which will expire on 7/15/2004. I don't want to renew my EAD until next spring. Is this ok since there will be a gap for my EAD. When I apply next spring, is a renewal or I have to re-apply for EAD? I appreciate your information.

How about AP? Can it have a gap? Because it will expire also in December, and I want to renew it until next spring. Thanks alot.:confused:
 
With out valid EAD you can't work. I would suggest you apply ead extention.

You don't have to extend ap, if you don't want to go outside.
 
If it expires, it would EAD reapplication.

If you have a valid H1 and are using it, then it doesnot matter even if EAD expires. Using EAD invalidates H1B. So, as long as ou have not used EAD, you should be fine.
