May 2004 140 Approved after an RFE

My husband’s 140 was finally approved after an ability to pay RFE. He filed his 140 and 485 in 5/2004. 140 got an RFE on 12/30/2004. RFE response received by 1/28/2005 by USCIS. LUD changed on 2/1/2005 and 2/22/2005. 140 approved on 2/22/2005.

We had been quite worried about the ability to pay issue. But after reading all the relevant posts in this forum, we felt more confident. And it was approved! Thank you for all those who responded to my posts and questions!

Our 485 LUD changed on 2/17/2005. We suspected USCIS was going to approve our 140 and 485 concurrently. It didn’t happen however. But we are happy for now. And will begin the next journey – waiting for 485…

Just got approval notices (emails) on both my husband's and my 485s. Approved same day (2/22/2005) as our 140. For some reason, the approval was sent out just this moment. LUD changed to 2/23/2005.

Cannot believe it! So happy! And our guess became true! At least in our case, it confirmed that LUD change usually means something.
