May 15 ex-winner; anyone had immigration issues?

Hi

I was a May 15 selectee before the re-draw and wasn't re-selected in July.

I'm on a valid US visa, but I'll be heading out of the country for a week over Xmas. Has anyone encountered immigration issues getting back into the US using your visa, i.e.; they decide you've shown 'immigrant intent' etc?

if you wasn't part of the lawsuit or signed the petition, you have nothing to worry about... I myself was an ex 22 000 now will have my extend of statut next week, & am in usa right now

DOS kept their promesse, they didn't registered you, i just found out today that i was inexistent in their database...

True you have had immigrant intent, but when filling out a non-immigrant visa application form, it doesnt ask if you have ever applied for AoS...rather it asks, do YOU CURRENTLY HAVE an immigrant petition/application pending or something close to that.

Next...are you going to get a new visa? N for this, I see that you were on a valid US visa so am sure that you went and came back after a nice restful Christmas break!

Someone mentioned being part of the petition. While I wasnt part of that petition but saw things on facebook about 22,000 tears etc; I do not think US government engages in retaliation over such matters...especially when they have more important matters to deal with as far as immigration and immigrants are concerned. It would feel and sound petty. This is however a unique situation.

Merely entering the DV lottery is not seen as "having immigrant intent".

However, filing the visa application forms (if selected in the lottery), is considered to be showing immigrant intent.

You should not have any issues of this nature when re-entering.
