marrying an illegal alien - where do I start ?

Have you ever heard about 245i? it was passed by the congress and waiting for the senate to pass it, then the president will sign the legislation. But unfortunately there is some restriction on it. The familial relationship must exist on or before August 15 2001 and he or she must be here in US before December ?? year 2000.

if your fiance came here legally (was inspected) and became illegal as his visa expired, you can marry his tomorrow and apply for his green card, no problem.
If he came here illegally (was not inspected), you have to rely on next 245i
