I imagine I will end up going to an immigration lawyer to really figure this out in the end, but maybe it’s an easy answer. I did try searching the internet & forums but no clear answer.
I am soon to be engaged to a F1 Visa holder, I understand F1 visas are non-immigration visas and if she go back to the EU there is the possibility she could not return. We would like to get married one semester before she graduates from college if that factors into needed status. I don’t think her major is H1B acceptable (Spainish/translation).
We would like to get married in the US, travel to the EU for another ceremony, and then honeymoon in the EU and come back to the US without worrying (remember when we return she will have another semester of college)
After her last semester in college we would like to be able to freely move between the EU & the US if possible (Even if this requires me getting some sort of status in the EU), but definitely want to be able to live in the US and have the ability for short trips into the EU.
Anyone else have a similar situation, or ideas?
Thanks!!
