marrying a canadian citizen

Hi,

I am a new member here, though i have been following this forum actively as a non-member. I had some questions about the subject i entered, "Marrying a Canadian Citizen".

I am currently working in the US on an H1, filed for extension and i have my EAD and AP approved and awaiting my I140 approval.

What would happen to my current status if I married a Canadian citizen? Do I need to re-apply all my applications again? Can I continue to work on my H1 and wait for my 140 to clear or would that be affected if I added a Canadian to that application? Would I have to apply for another visa other than the H1?

Any help would be highly appreciated.

I had another question, don't canadian citizens need a different kind of visa to work here? and also i don' how this works, but do i become a canadian of some sort by marrying her, or is that irrelevant?
