Married while 485? related question

I got married before my 485 was approved. I am waiting for a few of my wife's documents before I can file my her 485. In case my 485 is approved before I could file her 485, will she still have the derivative benefit and be able to file her 485???

You didn't directly specify if she is in USA or outside.
If she is outside, things are different.

I am assuming she is here in USA. SHe will have derivative
status if you quickly applied for her even if you don't have
some documents now. You can submit them later.
But, if yours approved, things will be different, from what I
know of. It is better, you should apply her I485 right away.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, she is in USA with a H1B. So, do you think there is a chance that my wife wont get the derivative benefit, if my 485 is approved before?
