My wife is a Canadian Citizen, residing with me in the US on an H-4.
(1) Am I better off applying under the Family Class Category vs the Independent Category ? Which is quicker ? I am software developer(Degree + 10 years Experience)
(2) Does the 183 day residency rule apply to me ?
(3) C-11 Bill indicates "A permanent resident must comply with a residency obligation with respect to every five-year period."
"....outside Canada accompanying a permanent resident who is their spouse or common-law partner or, in the case of a child, their parent and who is employed on a full-time basis by a Canadian business or in the public service of Canada or of a province"
Does this mean, I could live in the US as long as my wife is with me, and I am still fulfilling my residency requirements ?
