Married one week ago overseas...now filing i130 for overseas spouse...

This forum is very useful. Thank you to the administrators and participants for sharing their information. Please advise if I need to correct anything in my approach...

I got married one week ago oversees and am now back to US but obviously had to leave my spouse behind. I am looking to file I-130 for her and gathering relevant documentation. I have a marriage certificate but it seems that I need other leasing, property, co-mingling documentation to show proof of my marriage even though it is only 1 week old. I may need to get affidivits from folks indicating my marriage. Do I need to do this or is the marriage certificate enough and she will get a conditional GC.

I am a US Citizen.

Hahahahaha! How can you show commingling of finances with someone you just married and who lives in a different country? For you the important things are:

Wedding Pictures [Hopefully it was a big elaborate traditional ceremony]
Email Correspondence
Letters from witnesses [The problem you might face there is your witnesses might not be US citizens]
Plane tickets [if you have been going back to visit her]
Gift Receipts

Don't worry, they know you cannot provide bank statements, insurance, leases, etc because of your situation. Gather what you have. You should be fine.
