married, AOS from H1, any similar cases?

EVERYTHING has been done almost one year ago. Medical exam, biometrics, ect... Even the interview.
The agent at the interview said "I have nothing against this marriage. The H1 cases take longer though, because they are stuck at the FBI clearing office. It can take weeks, months but I doubt it will take 2 years before your H1 expires."

I'm still waiting.

Got into the EAD mess (see my posting http://immigrationportal.com/showthread.php?t=232827 )

Why is it taking so long, is there anything I can do to accelerate this stupid crap?

Anyone in this situation?
 
I don't believe the FBI namecheck delay has anything to do with adjusting from H-1B. There are plenty of people on here who have adjusted from H-1B successfully quite quickly (including myself).

Have you made an infopass appointment recently to inquire into your case?
 
I called the 1-800 number months ago and they said they were going to check my case. Then I got an email in August saying "your case has been delayed. Please contact us again in 6 months if you haven't received anything".

I'm going to the Infopass for my EAD this week. I wanted to deal with that first.
Maybe I can ask them about my greencard as well.

I have no idea about what I can do and it's very very frustrating.

I feel like all they're doing is take my money everytime I apply for a renewal and things, and that's all they do. F#cked up system.
