married and request for passport

Hi guys,
I have started my processing with status unmarried a while back. I got a request from CIC to send my passport recently and I am married a week back. Should I send my passport or should I inform CIC about the change in my marital status. Does this in any way effect my landing process? I plan to apply for my wife after landing and receiving my PR card down the road..does this affect her processing in the future?

I would be happy If anyone can give their suggestions.

Send your passport then fax your status as married then they will send you papers requesting your wife medical.
