I have two question:

I am a US resident. I am looking to get married next summer in my country. What kind of Visa my future wife will need, where she can apply and how long it takes.

In May, 2006 I will apply for a US citizen after five year being in this country .Can I put my wife in the document I will feel up. How long the process of the naturalization will take . what kind of forms I need?

thank you

I will wait until you are being naturalized, that way her process will be faster. You need to file i485, i130, i131(Advanced Parole - if needed to travel), i765 (EAD - if needed for work). Check the previous post for detail

Don't marry in your home country. That will unnecessarily delay your future wife arrival to US. After your naturalization, get her a fiancé visa and get married here in US. You will have 90 days after her arrival and after marriage you can start her GC process.

… You will need N-400 form to apply for your naturalization (i.e. US citizenship). Please check following link for details:

Time/Duration for Naturalization depends on location

thank you

Thank you for you responds. I know if I am a citizen it will be easier, but the Duration for Naturalization will take long “I will apply next may and it will take 8 to 12 month according to immigration” and haven’t seen her for long. How about if I marry her there and apply for a temporary visa, until I get my citizenship then change her the visa statue to immigrant statue. I am confuse with this and if it not a good idea please advise me. how about
I -130 how long it takes .

Best bet for LPR spouse is to try for L1/H1, provided they are eligible.

There is no temporary visa for LPR spouse. She will be having tough time getting any other non-immigrant visa at US consulate/consulate.
