Marriage to a GC Holder

I'm a GC holder and if I intend to marry a girl who's already in the US on student visa what kind of application does she need to file for Adjustment of Status? How long does such an application take for approval? Can she apply for EAD right after her I-485 is filed?

Man you have a looong way to go. Spouses of GC holders come under annual quotas. First file I-130. When it is approved and your reach the front of the line (may take upto 10 years!) apply for I-485. Only at that time can she file for EAD. Moreover she need to maintain a valid non-immigrant status as long as I-130 is pending.
It is better for her to try to get into H1 or L1 status (if she is eligible and finds an employer willing to process the visa) so that she can try to immigrate under the employment category.
 
nkm answer is right, but its also depends from which country you come from since they have certain quotas for every countries. If you come from highly immigrate person from that country, the longer the waiting, if you come from the less ppl who immigrate to US, your application proceed faster.
