Hello,
I am a graduate student and my F1/OPT starts on September 1 2008. I plan to get married in November this year and bring my wife (from India). Does the law permit me to bring her immediately or do I need to wait till my H-1 gets processed in October 2009? If I can, what is the VISA she will be coming on, what are the requirements to apply for the visa and most importantly what are the chances?
Can she even apply for a Visitor visa for leisure and stay here with me?
