marriage certificate ques. dates are different . Please answer with same experience

Hi all
Our marrige certificate shows only registered date(which is later date), not the actual marriage date at all.
For ex: Original marriage date: 10th Nov,1999, we approched local office for cerificate, they gave certificate with registered date, 25th Jan,2001.

Recently I submitted 485 (mentioned original date of 10th Nov, 1999) along with this marrraige certificate. Is this poses a problem?
Do I get REF?
Do I need to get any additional certificate on this well before to proving the same ? If so, what kind of ? Please advice me if someone experienced the same and how
you rectified this.

Affidavit is a possibility.

There are couple of things that you can do proactively, even though I am sure this will not be a problem later. But in the meantime, I would do the following things:

Go back to the registrar and add the marriage date. I am sure you can get this done easily. Something under the table is a good investment . OR

Get an affidavit signed by you and your wife attesting the correct date of your marriage. OR

Use the marriage invitation and the advertisement in the paper (though I am not too confident about it)
